AGF  
The AGF Group is a major player in insurance and financial services in France, and in more than twenty countries around the world. As a major entity of Allianz AG, the n°1 in European insurance, AGF offers life, health, property and liability insurance, as well as banking and asset management services, and is the world leader in credit insurance through Euler Hermes, and in travel insurance through Mondial Assistance.
AGF Informatique, the AGF Allianz IT department, required a solution to support their Project Management methodology (MCPSI), and to manage the entire IT portfolio. After considering different options, including internal development, they selected Artemis ITM as it addressed all their key IT management issues.
Today project managers benefit from a complete project and cost management solution, including decision support from impact analysis of potential new investments. Following the merger of AGF, Allianz and Athena, Artemis ITM was selected as the preferred solution to manage the consolidated IT activities of the AGF Allianz Group.

AIG Japan implemented Artemis ITM to provide the IT department with a project portfolio management solution along with an urgently required time tracking system. The centralized web based solution allows IT staff to input and update the time spent on projects regardless of time and location. This ensures management have timely, accurate, consolidated data and visibility of project progress, capacity planning and portfolio status.

AXA    
AXA is a worldwide leader in financial protection and wealth management, with major operations in Western Europe, North America and the Asia/Pacific area. AXA services 50 million customers throughout the world with approximately 117,000 employees and distributors worldwide, working in around fifty countries. The AXA Group reported total revenues for the first half of 2004 of €37 billion and underlying earnings of €1,436 million and had €827 billion in assets under management.
AXA has chosen Artemis to improve budgeting and the investment portfolio management processes. This involves the implementation of a centralized budgeting solution to support a standardized investment justification process, that will provide more accurate and timely budget and forecast information to key stakeholders. Project and resource management capabilities will also enable AXA to improve capacity planning and project staffing, and to produce relevant and timely project reports. Promina Group Limited is a leading insurance and financial services organisation listed on the Australian and New Zealand stock exchanges. Its operations trace back to 1833 in Australia and 1878 in New Zealand. It is one of the top 50 companies in Australia and top 20 in New Zealand by market capitalisation. In the latest financial year to 31 December 2003 Promina’s gross written premium income was A$2.97 billion.
Promina implemented Artemis ITM to gain visibility of all IT projects and resources ( human, systems and technical infrastructure), and to accurately manage the IT portfolio. Bayerische Landesbank  
With a consolidated balance sheet of EUR 341 billion as per 31 December 2002, Bayerische Landesbank (BayernLB) is one of the largest banks in Germany. The bank has its headquarters in Munich, and is jointly owned by the Free State of Bavaria and the Association of Bavarian Savings Banks.
Bayerische Landesbank selected the Artemis ITM solution to support the global project management process and project reporting. Deployed to more than 750 people ranging from top management to project managers within IT and the Business Units, the solution has optimized and accelerated the overall project planning and control process, and provides reliable time and cost data to justify internal services charges, and support the overall company decision making process.

San Paolo IMI  
San Paolo IMI group founded in 1998 after the merger between the Istituto Bancario San Paolo di Torino and the Istituto Mobiliare Italiano (IMI), is one of the biggest banks in Italy, and positions itself as the leader for retail banking, with more than 3,000 branches.
San Paolo selected the Artemis ITM solution to support the PM office activity. This includes establishing a common methodology for managing strategic projects and ensuring accountability for IT deliverables. The solution provides a common information system for all stakeholders, and is used to track actual time for all 1 200 resources of the IT department. Additionally the solution ensures the deployment of project and resource management best practices to 250 project managers.

La Poste DISF  
La Poste Group is Europe’s number 2 postal group, and fourth-ranking worldwide. Financial services account for 25% of its activity, along with mail (60%) and parcel and logistics (15%). This makes DISF one of the leading retail banking organizations in France with 45 million accounts for 28 million customers, and more than 17 000 outlets servicing 3.5 million visitors every day, in 11 000 localities.
La Poste DISF selected the Artemis IT Management solution, to help them build and manage the complete set of portfolio investments necessary to support the strategy, and to implement a dynamic budgeting process to optimize the use of capital and resources. After a 3 month implementation period the first phase was delivered to users in January 2004, and was then deployed on two additional sites involving more than 1200 people between January and April 2004.

Calyon  
The merger between Crédit Agricole Indosuez and Crédit Lyonnais investment banking businesses resulted in the creation of CALYON, a leading European player specialised in corporate and investment banking, and offering a full range of products and services to the Crédit Agricole group’s corporate customers in more than 60 countries.
Calyon selected Artemis ITM to implement a project portfolio management solution to improve control of their whole IT business, and to ensure their project delivery date and cost commitments are achieved. The web based Artemis solution supports the Calyon project and resource management methodology, and the centralized database improves collaboration between all stakeholders and streamlines the whole business through the use of project indicators, reports and dashboards. The managers benefit from efficient project selection and prioritization processes and a continuously updated status of all IT investments. The availability of accurate capacity planning was another key factor in the choice of Artemis ITM as this addresses one of Calyon’s major issues - the allocation of both internal and external resources to the right projects in a complex multi-project and multi-resource environment.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange  
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is the world’s leading futures and options trading market. Based in Chicago, Illinois, CME is responsible for most of the world’s financial trading in commodity futures such as wheat, corn, soy and others, as well as stock indexes, foreign currency and interest rates.
CME implemented Artemis to set up budgeting and investment portfolio management processes to enable the centralization and standardization of budgeting, investment justification process, scenario planning of unplanned IT initiatives and capacity planning. MoneyGram  
MoneyGram International, Inc. is a leading global payment services company and S and P MidCap 400 company. The company’s major products and services include global money transfers, money orders and payment processing solutions for financial institutions and retail customers. MoneyGram is a New York Stock Exchange listed company, with more than $825 million in revenue in 2004 and more than 79,000 global money transfer agent locations in 170 countries. Travelers Express entered the international marketplace in 1998 with the acquisition of MoneyGram Payment Services, a money transfer company established in 1988.
The MoneyGram International (MoneyGram) Information Technology Services Group (ITSG) organization chose the Artemis ITM solution to manage and optimize its entire IT project portfolio. This involved streamlining the budget and IT process and setting up project and resource planning procedures including time tracking and reporting. The single central Artemis database replaces several disconnected IT systems ensuring data integrity and cost efficiencies along with enhanced organizational capabilities. The solution also addresses Governance issues and enables automation of the auditing process driven by Sarbanes-Oxley and CMM Level 2 certification.

Wachovia Corporation  
Wachovia Corporation is one of the largest providers of financial services to retail, brokerage and corporate customers, with retail operations from Connecticut to Florida and west to Texas, and retail brokerage operations nationwide. Wachovia had assets of $493.3 billion, market capitalization of $83.5 billion and stockholders’ equity of $47.3 billion at December 31, 2004. Its Global services are offered through 33 international offices.
Wachovia selected the Artemis ITM solution to improve their portfolio management practices, to set up standard project and resource management and to enforce time tracking processes and procedures. Artemis also addressed a key issue for Wachovia by providing them with an open database structure that eases integration with other corporate systems. The Artemis implementation that already accommodates a large user base with more than 7300 Time sheet users will progressively expand to other groups of users.

AUCHAN  
In 43 years, Auchan has become one of the world’s leading retail groups. Since the first outlet opened in Roubaix (France) in 1961, Auchan has continually expanded and now operatesin 12 countries through 321 hypermarkets and 618 supermarkets with a workforce of 165,000 people. In 2003 the group’s sales, net of value added taxes , amounted to US $ 35.7 billion.
Auchan IT implemented Artemis ITM in all IT divisions to replace a set of inefficient tools with a common project portfolio management solution on a central repository, to notably manage transverse projects, to eliminate manual and inaccurate reporting from project managers and to retrieve reliable financial information from all regions. Artemis supports Auchan’s project management methodology and provides 1200 users and 300 project managers worldwide with new time tracking and project planning processes enabling time saving and increased productivity.

With over 9,000 stores to its name, Casino has gained a leading edge in the French food retail trade. Represented throughout all of France via a wide range of Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, discount stores, convenience stores as well as restaurants, Casino Group is also present internationally with outlets in 14 other countries. The group employs 207 000 people around the world for a US $ 45 861.85 millions total banner sales.
Casino IT implemented the complete Artemis ITM solution, from time tracking, budgeting and project monitoring through to portfolio management. At operational level the solution supports the billing process for both customers and suppliers. At strategic level Artemis provides the IT managers with reliable and accurate information enabling them to assess new initiatives in the IT Portfolio and make rapid decisions..

Celesio      
With a turnover of EUR 19.2 billion (2004), Celesio is the leading pharmaceutical distribution company in Europe and is represented in 15 countries. With its three divisions, Celesio Wholesale, Celesio Pharmacies and Celesio Solutions, the group covers the entire scope of pharmaceutical distribution. Every day, 132 branches in the wholesale sector make more than 100,000 deliveries. Celesio has around 32,000 employees throughout Europe.
Celesio selected Artemis ITM to provide Celesio’s IT divisions in France (Gehis), UK and Germany with a common project and resource management system to manage IT development projects and IT maintenance work. The first phase of the Artemis implementation was in France at Gehis to implement project, multi project, individual resource and resource skills management processes that were thereafter adopted in both the UK and Germany. These processes have been subsequently adapted to specific IT programs for international project and resource pools monitoring.

Match supermarkets group a French privately owned company comprises 153 supermarkets mainly located in three large geographical areas which are: the East of France, the North of France and Alsace/Picardie. Match’s annual revenue is 1.4 billion Euros for a total store area of 215000 m². Specialist in fresh food products the MATCH brand is positioned as a local supermarket, close to its clientele and committed to client satisfaction.
Match DSI Europe chose Artemis to manage and get visibility on their whole IT Activity, to better identify and monitor new initiatives, projects and non-projects and to provide all project managers across Europe with a common repository to manage project and resources. The key element of the Artemis IT solution for MATCH DSI Europe is a business-critical set of customized reports providing real-time & accurate information from all IT activity over Europe with a focus on the top 10 projects.

Established by Max Herz in 1949, the name Tchibo has stood for freshness and quality in the coffee market for over 50 years. The original mail-order coffee company has grown into a multinational enterprise, active in many more sectors than just traditional coffee retailing. Over the years, Tchibo has consistently expanded its range and number of sales channels. Its strong brands guarantee variety and quality worldwide.
Tchibo selected the Artemis ITM solution to gain control of their IT portfolio and to establish an efficient multi-project management system. The Artemis cost management, budgeting and annual planning capabilities along with time tracking and management reporting ensure IT project managers have greater transparency of cost and project progress. The solution provides Tchibo Top management with visibility of the entire portfolio leading to greater flexibility in responding to change, objective decision making, and improved quality and time-to-market for new products.

ANPE  
The ANPE (Agence National Pour l’Emploi) is a government agency in charge of helping individuals to find new jobs. The ANPE IT department employs 300 people with a budget of 125 Million Euros, and is in charge of supporting all ANPE information systems spread across a network of 850 local agencies, including the most visited web site in France with 120 000 visitors per day.
The ANPE chose Artemis 7 to support IT Governance processes by providing synchronization of the Strategic master plan and the Operational plan in terms of objectives, budgets and resources. The solution implementation was aimed at establishing a collaborative environment for sharing budget and consolidated project management information, and the production of multiple management dashboards to support the different stakeholders. The Artemis ITM solution was initially used by 25 users at the management and financial level of the IT department, but was deployed to the whole department at the beginning of 2004.

Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance - Tax Policy Department (DPF)   
In supporting the political responsibilities of the Minister, the Tax Policy Department (DPF) is responsible for the general design and administration of the tax system, and formulates the Governmental proposal of tax bills and acts, tax treaties and international taxation agreements. This includes coordinating the 4 Tax Agencies (Internal Revenues, Land Office, Customs, State Properties) by setting the political objectives to be pursued by the Agencies and controlling their activity and assessing their performance.
The complete reorganization of the Italian Ministry of Finance along with redefined role and tasks of each entity and new organizational interface meant a new management approach for the Tax Policy Department.
Artemis ITM was selected by SOGEI, the fully owned IT subsidiary of the Ministry of Economy, as the technological platform to support the new DPF Investment Governance process. The system provides visibility of the overall Investments Plan, ensures strategic alignment with DPF’s objectives and increased ability to drive investment policies. Artemis provides in a single repository different levels of visibility, data capture and roll-up functions with an high level of automation for data gathering from other information systems in use.

North Shore City Council  
North Shore city is New Zealand’s forth-largest city with a population exceeding 200,000 residents. The city boasts a lifestyle and environment that set it apart as a destination for homemakers, pleasure-seekers and business people, and a stable and educated workforce make it a prime location for commercial and industrial development. North Shore City Council’s Program Management Office is part of the Information Management Division and is tasked with effectively delivering Information Technology projects to the business, through effective project management.
The Council recognized that while the the PMO and project managers were delivering projects, a lack of centralized data and a tool for managing workflow/methodology and for collecting task/time data was adversely affecting the productivity of project management and the length of the decision making process.
The Artemis ITM solution is being implemented by the Program Management Office (PMO) to establish a “top down” strategic approach to planning, decision support, projects and time management. The solution encompasses demand management, portfolio management, program/project management, resource allocation and time sheet management. The solution will ensure alignment of new and existing projects within the IT portfolio with the strategic goals of the council. It will also provide executives with a balanced scorecard to make critical decisions about IT projects, resourcing and capacity.

SingHealth IT, the cluster IT solution provider, implemented Artemis ITM to improve IT Governance and promote disciplined and efficient IT processes in solution delivery, service provision, client relationship and vendor management. The phased solution implementation comprises Time Tracking to achieve overall visibility of Singhealth IT resources commitment to the healthcare institutions, Enterprise Project and Resource Management to standardize IT budgeting practices, and Portfolio Management to notably demonstrate how projects are aligned to business strategy and Corporate Management.

Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority  
The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is a government agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs. ICA has brought together the former Singapore Immigration & Registration (SIR) and the enforcement work performed by the former Customs & Excise Department (CED) at the various checkpoints. Operational on 1 April 2003, ICA is responsible for the security of Singapore’s borders against the entry of undesirable persons and cargo through land, air and sea checkpoints. ICA also performs other immigration and registration functions such as issuing travel documents and identity cards to Singapore citizens and various immigration passes and permits to foreigners. It also conducts operations against immigration offenders.
ICA deployed the Artemis solution within the ICA Technology Branch to improve visibility on the overall performance of all projects, and to provide the PMO with accurate indicators on feasibility and the impact of new opportunities and budget reallocation. Artemis helped the government agency to standardize the project justification process through project scoring to ensure projects alignment with the corporate strategy. A key achievement in the Artemis implementation at ICA, is the creation of a single shared project repository to promote common ownership and facilitate communication between key stakeholders.

National Institute of Education - Singapore  
The National Institute of Education (NIE) is Singapore’s sole teacher training institute in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
The Academic Computing & Information Services (ACIS) Division of NIE is charted to provide an effective Information and Technology driven education infrastructure. ACIS has selected Artemis as one of its key products with the immediate aim of improving the accuracy and speed of the IT budgeting process for better allocation of capital and resources management.
An initial step towards implementing an effective and efficient IT management and governance software, ACIS plans to determine the further implementation scope and phases as the NIE progresses towards its aim of becoming an effective IT-driven educational Institute of Distinction.

CEA (Atomic Energy Commission)  
The CEA is a French government-funded technological research organization and a major player in Research, Development and Innovation operating in three core business sectors : Energy, Information and Health Technology, and Defence. The Research Centre located in Saclay (on the outskirts of Paris) is a multidisciplinary center comprising more than 5000 researchers, mostly involved in nuclear power plant operation, competitivity and security and investigating solutions for nuclear waste management. The CEA is involved in a number of major Research programs, including the world famous ITER program, and their expertise, already well recognised in Europe, is continuously increasing at an international level.
The CEA Saclay Research Center chose Artemis ITM to enforce project management processes and methodology in their IT department and gain visibility of the entire project portfolio. The web based Artemis solution with a centralized database replaces several standalone databases, multiple spreadsheets and paper systems, and provides schedule and resource capabilities allowing accurate project management in a matrix environment. The Artemis solution will enable the extension of the CEA IT project and portfolio management approach to other departments.

ERP (Oracle) and groupware integration was completed to stimulate cost control capabilities.

Telecom Italia (TI) is Italy’s biggest telecommunications corporation, providing services to 50 million individuals and 3 million businesses.
TI selected Artemis to establish a Corporate capital investment governance solution with centralized and shared data that provides a top-down approach for management and control of different levels of cost and benefit by investments. Additional features include, security access by data objects, multiple roll-ups, and interface with legacy systems (SAP) and Excel. Today, 45 Artemis users at Investment Planning and control management level benefit from the solution acquired in July 2003.
